The 13 stars and stripes on this jersey recall early American flags, like the flag that flew over Fort McHenry during the War of 1812 that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the national anthem 'The Star-Spangled Banner,' and the restoration to the one so generously contributed by Ralph Lauren in 1998.
