Atelier September: A Place to Cook by Day is the first cookbook dedicated to the celebrated Copenhagen restaurant, with recipes from owner Frederik Bille Brahe, granting exclusive access to Atelier September's most iconic dishes. Eighty-six recipes, mostly vegetarian, for breakfasts, lunches, sweets and basic AS dishes, such as "avocado crazy", with fresh and seasonal ingredients. Frederik creates recipes for fluffy financier pancakes, seasonal soups and salads, and matcha-flavored desserts with the same familiarity that informed his first successful book with Apartamento, All the Stuff We Cooked. An introduction and poetic interludes written by Frederik offer insight into AS's early days and culinary inspirations, the background to what would become one of Copenhagen's most celebrated restaurants. Edited by Jeni Porter and with photographs by Rasmus Weng Karlsen, Atelier September is a kind of homecoming, both for the memories evoked by familiar flavors and beautiful objects, and for the lifelong friends we make gathered around a table.
